ESIC means Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is recruiting for Social Security Officer for which there are total of 294 vacancies. The application process has started on 7th September and you can apply till 5th October. In this video we will know about the detailed notification, the exam pattern and selection procedure and How to Apply? First of all the application process started from 7th September and will last till 5th September. One important note – on 16th January 2014 ESIC released notification for Social Security Officer which is cancelled and this new notification has come up after 4 years. So, those of you had applied in 16th January 2014 notification now you can freshly apply for this new application with the given Registration Id and Registration number login and apply online. One important thing is if you have become age barred after 16th January 2014, and you had applied and have the Registration id and password but after 4 years you become age barred then you will be eligible for age relaxation. If you want to apply for ESIC then you can apply now. The age limit is 21 years to 27 years. If you fall under this age group, then you can apply for ESIC. The Educational Qualification required is you need to be Graduate or Graduation is must But, you will be given preference if you are graduate in Commerce/Law/Management You need to have Graduation which is a basic requirement Apart from this, you are required to have Knowledge in Computers i.e Office Suite, Database, etc. knowledge is necessary Basically, you need to have working knowledge of Computes. The benefit of this will be during the selection process Part 3 which is the last stage of selection procedure. In this stage you will be judged on the Compute Skills. Here you will come to know the benefit of Computer Knowledge. This was Age Limit and Educational Qualification. Now, let’s get further to know the Exam Pattern The selection procedure will have Preliminary Exam Mains Exam and last will be Computer Skill Test and Descriptive Test. Your selection will be based on these 3 stages. The first stage (Phase 1) i.e Prelims is qualifying in nature The exam is going to be Online. Check on the screen exam pattern for Prelims – English Language Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude In English you will be asked 30 questions for 30 marks In Reasoning 35 questions for 35 marks and Quantitative Aptitude 35 questions for 35 marks. Total number of 100 questions for 100 marks will be asked in this stage. You are given sectional timing for every section. You are required to solve each section in 20 mins. This was your exam pattern for Preliminary Stage 1. As you have seen exam pattern for Phase 1 on the screen. The Phase 1 exam will be Online there will be 1/4th negative marking Selection will be qualifying Those who will be shortlisted for Mains example 1:10 eg. there are 10 vacancies then 100 people will be shortlisted. In this manner shortlisting process will be carried out and you will get marks according for selection. This was regarding Phase 1. Now let’s check out the Phase 2 exam pattern You can see on the screen Phase 2 exam pattern. The mains exam in Phase 2 will be Objective type Online test. In this you will be asked 40 questions in Reasoning/Intelligence for 60 marks and you have to solve it in 35 mins. Moreover, there will be 40 Questions based on General/Economy/Financial/Insurance Awareness for 40 marks This you have to complete in 20 mins Next is English Language test which is Objective type 30 questions for 40 marks and solve in 30 minutes Quantitative Aptitude will have 40 Questions for 60 marks which you have to solve in 60 minutes Total there will be 150 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours. This was the Phase 2 i.e exam pattern for Mains there will be 1/4th negative marking the way it was in the Phase 1 in the same manner it will be Phase 2 negative marking The way after giving Phase 1 exam the shortlisted ratio was for Phase 2 1:10 in the same manner the further stages like computer skills and descriptive test shortlisted candidate will be from 1:5 ratio The way it were in 1:10 ratio now it will be 1:5 ratio The last stage in selection process is Computer Skills and Descriptive Test As you can see CST will be for 50 marks for 30 minutes Preparation of 2 Power Point Slides – 10 Marks you have to make 2 power point slides for 10 marks Typing matter on MS word with formatting – 20 marks and Preparation of Table on MS Excel with use of Formula – 20 marks The total is 50 marks which you have to solve in 30 minutes With this the English Language test that includes Descriptive writing will have questions based on Letter writing and Essay writing Which will be asked for 50 marks and you have to solve in 30 minutes This is the selection procedure the Descriptive Test, Computer Skills are Qualifying in nature along with Prelims (Phase 1) The final selection is based on Mains i.e Phase 2 marks The phase 2 marks are important for selection so your focus will be on this exam as well. SC/ST/ OBC/Female and PWD candidates have application fees – Rs.250/- If you belong from other categories then you have to pay Rs.500/- as the application fees. You can fill the application till October You have to fill Online application form.
