Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be doing my July favourites Now, I know this is a little bit late in the month to do my July favourites, but for the first time this year I didn’t ‘forget’ but it just, I don’t know, I just wanted to upload other things. And then a lot of you were like ‘Where are your, Where’s your July favourites video?’ And I was like ‘Oh my God, forgot to do a July favourites.’ So I am going to do it today! I never really know if you guys still like these videos, I don’t, I mean I’ve been doing them for years and years. I personally love watching them because I like seeing what other people are genuinely enjoying and using. Yeah I’m just checking in, do you still like them? Do you not still like them? I feel a bit weird if I don’t upload one, like I couldn’t just leave this one. Even though I’m a bit late, I can’t just leave it. So I don’t know, let me know what you think. July feels like so long ago now, I don’t- *phone rings* AAAH! Do excuse me. Where to start? Oh, I’ll start with skincare. Item number one: are these which are the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Blemish Patrol Pads. That is quite a mouthful. Helps prevent breakouts, remove excess oil and minimise the appearance of pores. So these are essentially like acid wipes, you guys know I love these. I have tried to make them a staple in my skincare routine and I do really notice the difference. Essentially an exfoliant, but in chemical-pad form. You simply swipe it on your face after you’ve cleansed and then you can go on to use your oil or your serum and then your moisturiser, etcetera etcetera. I really like these ones, I feel like these have really cleared my skin in certain areas. They smell a little bit like 7up, left on the side, with a hint of acid. I’ve never used anything from the First Aid Skin Rescue range before, but I was really impressed and they also say ‘safe for sensitive skin’ as well. Next thing I’ve been loving and using on my skin is this which is a face mask and it is the Yes To Tomatoes Combination Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask. I really love this Yes To range, I use quite a lot of their shower gels and I’ve put those in quite a few my favourites videos actually. A lot of their products are all very natural ingredients based, so if that’s something you’re quite keen on then I think you’ll really like this. So it says that 96% natural ingredients, paroben free. I love a good face mask, I have 5 that I use kind of on and off and this has now made it into my staple face masks. I love that it dries really hard on your face, it does that whole like skin-crackle thing where like you and your friend are sat with a face mask on and you both start *speaking like this* because otherwise your face just starts to peel away. If you love a good face mask, especially if you love a good charcoal face mask, I think you’ll really enjoy this. Makeup-wise, I have pretty much worn this on my eyes for the past month and a half. This is the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet which is actually supposed to be for green eyes, but what it says on the tin isn’t always how you have to use it! They do a lot of different ranges, specifically for different eye shades, to kind of make them really stand out so this is essentially supposed to make green eyes look amazing and green. There is also one which I have for blue eyes, but it’s more of a kind of cooler toned taupe-y colour, I think. I do have it upstairs, I just don’t really reach for it as much as this one. This one I just really like the colour, it’s a really lovely, it’s almost like a bronze-y berry tone and it’s so pretty. The only thing I will say is that if you put this on too quickly, air gets trapped under the lid and it, and the lid comes off. So- I thought I had a spider on my arm then, I don’t. I’m not sure what that was, but if you’re like in haste and you throw this on and you throw it in your bag the lid is going to come off, so you have to be quite aware of that because otherwise it dries out. As long as you keep sharpening it, it’s all fine. I’ll basically smear this on my eyelid, right up to the crease, a little bit underneath and I get a blending brush just like the 217 from MAC and I just blend it until I think it looks semi-okay. And that is what I have on my eyes today. I’ve lived in it, it’s so good for when you’re in a rush. It’s so quick, it’s so easy and I think it looks really nice. Bronzer! I have a new bronzer that I really like, this is the YSL Bronzing Stones Sunkissed Glow Creator. ‘Effortlessly blendable and undetectable powder.’ It’s essentially a bronzer, but I’d be lying if I didn’t put this in my favourites because I have been using it a lot. There’s also another one which is a slightly lighter shade, which I’ve also been using on and off, but I feel like this one is slightly nicer for summer and it has a really subtle sheen to it. I just find these blend really well, they’re not like, so pigmented that you put it on and you’re like ‘Oh my God, okay now I need to get another brush to blend this out.’ It’s kind of like the perfect amount and I just feel like it gives a really nice depth to the face and warms it and it’s YSL so I just love the packaging. So, a lip product I’ve been loving is this one which is by Miss Tanya Burr and it is the Martha Moo Matte Lip. I love these, I’m so happy Tan has brought these out whilst I’m going through this whole love of matte lip creams and matte lip lips- matte lip lipsticks- matte liquid lipsticks. The consistency of this reminds me a little bit more of the Revlon ones which kind of feels very light and whipped almost and I really like that because it makes application really easy. I feel like you don’t have to be as precise with this as you would for a Colourpop which is a lot more liquid which is why is why I’ve had this in my handbag since I’ve had it because it’s just easy to apply It’s a really pretty colour, I like that it’s quite dark pink. I haven’t really- I don’t really tend to wear a lot of pinks and at the moment I’m definitely more into nude and neutral shades, but I feel like this is somewhere in the middle which is why I’ve really liked wearing it. So thanks T! So this is an Alien perfume and Mark actually got me this as a little present just because he is the nicest person in the world. He gave it to me and he was like ‘If you don’t like it, I totally understand blah blah blah I know that scent is, you know a preference thing’ and Mark is like the King of scents. He just knows his stuff when it comes to smells, so I had absolutely no doubt that what he had picked for me would be a good scent anyway. When I sprayed it, I was like ‘Holy crap, this smells like nothing I have ever smelled before. Alien scents can be quite strong and quite over-powering, but I just don’t feel like this is one of those. This is going to be my autumn/winter scent. I’ve just inhaled it – tastes nice. It has like an undertone like you can definitely smell the vanilla and the amber like it’s really, it almost smells a bit creamy, but it also has much deeper notes which make it a bit more of a night time kind of autumn-y perfume. I really really like it, so thanks Mark! Books! Here are 2 books that I wanted to put in my favourites because I read these when I went on holiday and I needed to talk about them because they were so great. First book is Jennifer Niven’s Holding Up The Universe which hasn’t been officially released yet, but I believe it’s coming out in October. So you haven’t really got that long to wait. I love Jennifer Niven, I love her voice and her tone and I just get completely sucked into her books. Love them. So this is about a girl called Libby who is known within the community and online because a video went viral for being the largest girl in America and it’s also about a boy named Jack who has Prosopagnosia (I think that’s how you pronounce it) which is the inability to recognise faces and it sounds like a really crazy story when you say it like this, but the two of them meet and it kind of goes through the journey of them kind of helping each other. It was so good! I loved this so much, I didn’t want it to end. I did that thing on holiday where I got near the end and I was like ‘I don’t want to finish it, i just want to savour it’ It was so good and I highly recommend you read this when it comes out. The next one is Gone Girl, which so many people had told me to read so I took it on holiday with me and I thought ‘Yep, you know what, I’m going to read it.’ I was hooked, this book is a page turner. I basically didn’t speak to anybody for about 3 days because I was so engrossed in this book and I loved every second of it. It was really fast paced, a lot happened. For any of you that don’t know Gone Girl is about Nick Dunne, who discovers that his wife has gone missing and it basically follows what happens after that. I don’t really want to give anything away. I think that for any of you that haven’t read this or seen the film then you should definitely read the book first. So I know that a lot of people have very mixed opinions on the ending and I have to say I was a teeny bit disappointed with the ending. I feel like the ending is the most realistic and I understand why the ending is like this, but I think in my head I was expecting something else and that something else never happened so I was a bit like ‘Ohh.’ However, it didn’t change how much I love the book and after I finished it I was immediately downloading Gone Girl on my laptop to watch in bed that night. I did love it a lot and I also really loved the film too. So this is a little bit random, but I wanted to put it in my favourites because I do love it and I’ve been meaning to talk to you about this for quite a while. This is a dog shampoo, now in my puppy video there was a lot of questions like what shampoo do you use? What toothpaste do you use? What treats do you give your dog? Blah blah blah blah. I feel like I could do a whole other video on that, but one thing that I did want to talk about, but didn’t get time to talk about in that video was my love of this dog shampoo. I had never heard of the brand before and they sent me a couple of these to my P.O BOX for me to try, no obligation of course they were just being nice. So the brand is Scruffy Chops and the thing that kind of made me very intrigued by this for a start is that I really love the packaging they’re in a squeeze-y bag with a little top here. Love it! I love the brand name: Scruffy Chops is so cute, but also the flipping scents they have for dog shampoo made me more excited than I needed to be for a shampoo for my dog. So I think they sent me Marshmallow, Chocolate and something, I’ve forgotten, maybe grapefruit and then Are You Barking Mad? or Are Rhubarking Mad? Iove rhubarb, I love the scent of rhubarb. I don’t actually eat that much rhubarb, but I really like the scent of rhubarb. I feel like I’ve said rhubarb a lot of times and also it’s very natural so it’s a natural mineral shampoo for dogs with a yummy whiff of rhubarb custard, with dead sea and oatmeal skincare. So it’s all very nice for your doggy, nothing in it that’s a bit- OOH bubbles! The last handful of times I’ve washed Nala I’ve done it with this and every time I just like sniff her because she smells so good after I’ve washed her with this. I do actually have to give her a bath after this so i’m going to be using this, which is why I had it out and I was like ‘I’ve never spoken about it before!’ but yeah, if you have a dog… I mean everyone washes their dog at some point. So you may as well do it with something that smells absolutely delicious! I love how I’m just as passionate talking about a dog shampoo as I am talking about a lipstick. So the other thing I’ve been really obsessed with is this, which is Bath & Body Works Candle called Leaves. Now this is actually from last year, it was in a drawer in here actually and we had a really miserable day recently where it was dark and gloomy and it was raining and I got this candle out and I lit it and all of a sudden my mood was lifted by about 100%. I didn’t care that it was raining because I’ve got my Leaves candle and it smells like autumn and I am so fricking excited! You guys know how much I love autumn, Halloween and Christmas. It’s my favourite time of year, I love when the leaves start turning orange, I love when it starts to get a little bit chillier in the air, I love autumn fashion, I love getting cosy with candles and fires and just generally love autumn. So on the really miserable day that I was reminded that summer is pretty much over, I didn’t really mind. I’m so ready for autumn and i know so many of you that live in the U.K that are like ‘No we’ve had some really great days! Don’t wish summer away!’ The summer here in the U.K is never really summer, it’s summer for like a handful of days and then after that I am so ready for autumn. So lighting this just put me in the best mood ever, but I have placed a cheeky little Bath & Body Works order so I will be doing a haul of a lot of new Bath & Body Works candles very soon which I’m very excited about. But yes, Leaves possibly one of my favourite autumn scented Bath & Body Works candles. Smells so good! Oh is that it? No! One more thing. I feel like by now most of you have probably already watched this or are contemplating watching it or heard so much about it and you’re not interested so you don’t want to watch it, but Stranger Things on Netflix is so flipping good! It has everything I like about it: set in a cool era 80s amazing, really good soundtrack I mean if it’s set in the 80s the soundtrack is going to be good because it’s proper 80s vibes, amazing actors and actresses, Winona Ryder and the kids acting in it are all so good, I love it and also it’s kind of scary and you guys know how much I love scary things, in fact there were definitely a few episodes and a few moments in the series where even I was a bit like ‘I’m glad i’m not watching this on my own.’ So without giving to much away, it is an 8 part thriller series on Netflix and it’s just so good. If you need a TV programme to watch or maybe if you don’t, but you know that you’re going to end up watching it anyway, I would definitely recommend Stranger Things. It was really really great. So that is everything for my July favourites, I really hope you enjoyed the video. Give it a thumbs up if you did and if you’re feeling nice and oh! Don’t forget to subscribe because guess what? There’s over 11 million of us now! How crazy is that? I mean I say this everytime we hit a milestone but honestly you guys are the best! I couldn’t ask for a more supportive, generous and loving viewership and I am so happy that you’re all still here and supporting and staying positive and I love you all very much and thank you all very very much for subscribing because it literally blows my mind how many of us there are now. Surely now 11 million is where it’s going to stay. I say this every time, even when I got to like 3 million I was like this is the most I’ll ever have, there’s never going to be more than this! but it keeps going up so thank you so much guys. I really really mean that, you’re all the best and so yeah thumbs up for this video, being amazing and hitting 11 milliom subscribers! Milliom? Why can’t I speak?
